I love Photo Books. I used to love to scrapbook. But, after getting married and having kids, all of my free time is spent doing other things. Plus, scrabooking can be very expensive with buying binders, paper, and all of the stuff to make the pages. So I have started making photo books. I make them for my girls each year as well as for vacations, birthdays, and Christmas.
I have tried lots of different photo book sites (depending on different deals) and the quality and ease of all the sites differ. I finally have found what I think is the BEST site for photo books! Mixbook offered me a free book, to try out their site, and I am SO glad that they did!
I was behind on my youngest daughter’s 6-12 month book so I jumped at the chance to try their site. They offer many different sizes of books, I chose the 11 x 8.5 Classic Landscape book. I then got to select a theme. This is just like all other photo book sites. They have lots of cute options. The thing that makes Mixbook so different is the 100% Customizable Scrapbook-like site! You don’t have to download any software and you really can create the books any way you want! I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!
I first started off just putting my pictures in the already made pages but by the end of the book I was creating pages almost completely from scratch. I even went back and added some more personal touches to the first few pages. You just drag and drop your photos. You can also delete, add, rotate, re-size, and move ANYTHING you want! In the beginning, it takes a little while to get used to the site. For me it was because I am so used to being limited to what I can do with each page. Once I got the hang of it, I had a blast! They also have a little tutorial that would have probably helped. I was just so excited I didn’t stop to watch it!
My photo book turned out So cute! I am in LOVE with it. I can’t wait to make more!
