The other night I was talking to my hubby about how we never watch our classics anymore because they just look horrible on our TV now. Yes, I’m talking about all those VHS movies that I just adore and can’t bare to part with, but NEVER watch because they just don’t look good on our nice {newerish – yes it’s a word} TV.
I decided that I was tired of not watching my favorites and that I need to slowly upgrade some of my movies. Guess which one I started with?… I know, the picture gives it away. 
I love My Fair Lady. I always have. What a fun story. I just love Audrey Hepburn in this movie. The way she portrays the feisty Eliza Doolittle just makes me laugh and smile every time. I had forgotten how wonderful the music is. It has been stuck in my head for days and I’m not bothered a bit.
As far as the Blu-ray goes it is wonderful. While there are a few small hazy parts in some of the sides of the film, It is 100% better than my VHS has been. I know…it had better be. But that is all I can compare it to. I was thrilled to find this at Mommy Bear Media for less than Amazon! Plus, you will get free shipping as well. I can’t wait for my next classic on Blu-ray. I am thinking The Sound of Music!

I need to upgrade my movies from VHS to blue ray as well. I just got a blue ray for Christmas and have slowly been adding. I don’t have My Fair Lady though – I think I will need to do something about that
