My name is Heather and I blog over at Family Volley. I am a wife, mother of 4, and an adjunct faculty member at Brigham Young University where I teach students the principles behind successful families.
Our Family
Family Volley is an advice column for families. We talk about everything. I started Family Volley three years ago. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I needed to find a way to share many of the things I teach students at BYU, and get it out to a bigger audience, a blog seemed like a great way to do that.
Every Friday on Family Volley, I feature a new game or activity. It is true that families that play together, stay together. Readers have loved the fresh new ideas.
Last November, after many requests, I put together a book, based on the activities featured on Friday’s. The book has a years worth of games that are unique and perfect for families and groups of people, no matter their age. They can be used in your home, in your community, for birthday parties, and they are perfect for class parties at school. It will be your go-to book for everything you plan.
I understand how hard it is to be a wife and mother. I know from studying textbooks and from real life experiences as a mom myself. Raising children is the most humbling thing I have every attempted to do. There are many days when I teach something to my students at school and them come home and do exactly what I told them not to. Families are central to a successful society. It takes patience, faith, endurance and love for our families to succeed. Family Volley is here to help you strengthen your family relationships. I hope you will come join us.

My husband and I adopted our daughter and she is 3 years old now. WE LOVE being together, swimming, going to the park the zoo, anything local..we love hiking and camping and sports.
