The longer I look at this deal and read more reviews on it, the more I love it. I found the George Foreman Indoor / Outdoor Family Sized Grill for $54.99 today (plus $5 shipping). Regular retail is about $120 – you can find it on Amazon right now for $69. Here’s what I like and 2 things I’m not crazy about:
Love: Grills between 8-10 hamburgers at a time – I don’t have to start grilling an hour before dinner to get them all finished.
Large plate comes with a domed lid – one review said you can roast a chicken on it!
Plate is removable – SUPER easy cleanup
Plate is slightly slanted – fat and grease drips off the plate so your food does not sit in it.
George Foreman hotplate style – Meats and veggies taste AMAZING without adding a lot to them. Currently I have the standard George Foreman grill and when I cook chicken on there, it is the BEST chicken ever – and I add nothing too it. I haven’t personally tried this one, but the reviews I read on Amazon seemed to say it’s the same as what I have now – flavor-wise.
Indoor/Outdoor – This is an electric plate, so you plug it in, either indoor or outdoor. Comes with a stand when you are using outdoor – love that I get two options.
Looks like it lasts well – one review stated she’d had it for over 2 years and was still in “new” condition. My George Foreman is 11 years old. The non-stick is starting to come off, but it still cooks great, so I am guessing this will be a long lasting product.
Not so love: I am assuming you do not want to store this outside, so indoor storage might be a lot of space because of the domed lid.
Reviews about the stand are so-so – they recommend not using in a high traffic area if little kids are around. I always have little kids around.
