We had an amazing time at the circus last night. This weekend Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey has brought their Circus Xtreme act to town! And believe me, they have gone ALL OUT for this show. It is so much fun!
There were tons of new acts this year that just left me breathless and some of my families favorites from years past too. If you follow my Instagram you got a sneak peak last night.
This year we got to Energy Solutions Arena early enough for the pre-show. I HIGHLY recommend it! There was an elephant painting a picture, a big bounce house slide for the kiddos to play on, and tons more to look at and do. My girls even got to talk to some of the performers and take pictures with them. I think their favorite part was dressing up in some of the actual costumes that have been used in some of the circus performances.

This show seemed to have even greater intensity than in years past. It was non stop fun from start to finish. Make sure to get the bracelets that they are passing out (we went through the downstairs door and missed them at first – thankfully we were able to take our tickets back and get them for everyone). The bracelets are really cool. They light up on cue with the acts and it not only makes the place look really cool but my kids LOVED them.

There were a bunch of new acts this year including Camels, Bungee Skydivers (so cool – but it was all in blacklight so I couldn’t get any pictures), Mongolian Marvels, Xtreme Sports Display (one of my favorites), and more! 
Of course some of our all time favorites were there. Including the High Wire Act (so crazy cool), the Human Cannonball (my daughter wants to do this when she gets older -lol), and this crazy guy who runs around and jumps on this spinning wheel. He FREAKS me out! I can only watch about half because I’m sure he is going to fall every time. It about gives me a heart attack, but everyone loves it!
Of course, my favorite is the elephants. They are so cute and sweet and I just love them. You can really tell they love doing what they do.

My daughters favorite is the Tigers. These babies are very cool. You can tell there is mutual respect between the tigers and their trainer.
We look forward to the circus every year. I’m so glad that we take time out to try to attend every year. It’s so much fun and something every kid should experience at least once!
