FREE Tickets for Utah Locals & Students for Sundance Film Festival!

Utah locals can enjoy the Sundance Film Festival for FREE!

They give five percent of their total seats to the local community to offer free screenings, interactive discussions with filmmakers and high school students, as well as specialized community-interest screenings.

Best of Fest:

 

  • After the Festival ends, Sundance Institute presents complimentary screenings of award-winning films to Locals in Salt Lake, Park City, and Sundance Resort. Screenings are FREE. New for 2019: tickets will be distributed via the eWaitlist. Beginning two hours before the screening time, Locals can request a waitlist number through their eWaitlist account. For more information on the eWaitlist, please visit sundance.org/wait. Proof of Utah residence will be requested prior to admission. Utah Locals are defined as residents with either a Utah Driver’s License or a Utah State ID card. Sundance Institute is proud to acknowledge and thank Zions Bank, Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks (ZAP) Program, Summit County Recreation, Arts and Parks (RAP) Program, Utah Division of Arts & Museums and the National Endowment for the Arts for their support of Best of Fest, a Sundance Institute Utah Community Program.

    Best of Fest Screenings: Monday, February 4, 2019. Film titles will be posted online on Sunday, February 3, 2019.

Townie Tuesdays:

 

  • Sundance Institute presents FREE screenings for Summit County residents (with proof of ID) on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Films screen at both the Library Center Theatre and the Redstone Cinemas. New for 2019: Tickets for these Townie Tuesday screenings will be distributed via the eWaitlist. Beginning two hours before the screening time, Locals can request a waitlist number through their eWaitlist account. For more information on the eWaitlist, please visit sundance.org/wait. You must be a Summit County resident, at least 18 years old, and present a legal Utah ID to be admitted.

Utah Student Screening Series:

Utah high school and junior high students are able to watch select films for FREE. Rigorous attention is given to ensure films contain content appropriate for this age group. *Please note that Student Screenings are not included on the public screening schedule.
