Hello, Utah Sweet Savings readers, my name is Debra and I am the owner/photographer behind Joyous Moments Photography. I have had a passion for photography ever since I was a child and I have had the wonderful opportunity to work in many different settings. I worked for a private photographer, at a studio, and as a newspaper photographer before finally striking out on my own six years ago.
At Joyous Moments Photography, which is run by my husband and me, we specialize in Weddings, Families, Infant and Senior Portraits. No two families or individuals are alike so we utilize the natural beauty of Utah to photograph portraits that are unique to each individual session.
At Joyous Moments Photography we are different than the average photographer, we believe that everybody should have the right to use their photographs in whatever way the want. We give each client the copyright release to their photos, so they can print, e-mail and decorate with their portraits in the way that works for them. Allowing them to print and share their pictures as much as they want, without having to continually pay for more photographs.
In addition to photography, I write Housewife Eclectic, a blog where I share photography how-tos, photo shoot ideas and Photoshop tutorials for the beginner, to help those who love photography as much as I do.

I love autumn and spring, with the bright beautiful colors of the leaves and crunchy leaf piles in the fall and the gorgeous flowers and baby animals in the spring
I love Utah in the spring and fall (mostly because it’s not summer or winter with their extreme temperatures) because of the gorgeous colors outside. Also, it’s a great time to hang out with my daughters outside!
SPRING, SPRING, SPRING!!! I love watching life becoming renewed and colorful once more.

I love Spring in Provo, Utah. Brigham Young University has made it a standard to plant flowering trees all around campus, such as pear or cherry trees. One of my most treasured memories is when my husband and I were newly married and poor. He was so thrilled that he had a present for me and dragged me outside and placed me underneath one of those trees. He then approached a white pear flowering tree and shook its branches, covering me in petals that looked like snow. I hate cold/winter, and so it was the sweetest snow I ever had! He is so thoughtful
I’ll never forget it. I really hope I win this–perhaps we can capture a similar moment on film!

I love the shift from Spring into summer. And then again from Summer to fall. It is the smell of cooler or warmer air coming in and Utah county is beautiful! There is even some green in it!
Fall is my favorite season in Utah – it’s still pretty warm but cooling off and the air just smells so good! (Winter is my least favorite, btw! Could it be over yet? Please?)

I would absolutely LOVE this giveaway. I have NEVER had professional photos taken. Not for my engagment, wedding, two kids, or any other occasion. This would be a real treat!
Winter is my favorite season so far. Of course, I’ve only been in Utah a year so I guess the novelty of the beautiful snow hasn’t worn off yet!
