It’s giveaway time!!! I have never really done a lot of Vinyl Lettering so this was an interesting experience for me. For one I never know what to put them on and I like different colors and I need someone else to come up with a unique saying that I love – which is a perfect description of the one pictured here. That’s what I like most about Wall Graffiti – she has SO many cute ideas that I just get to shop and find super cute sayings – PLUS she has a lot of pictures on placement ideas if you will be using it right on your wall.

The other thing that has held me back from making signs or sayings with vinyl lettering is I never know what to stick them to – so the picture above was a great find for me. I placed the lettering on the glass of a basic picture frame – that of course I picked up on sale. Since it’s a seasonal saying I thought it would be fun to add pictures behind the glass of my girls in their Halloween costumes each year to be able to change it up just a bit and make it personal.

This was another fun placement idea – I picked up this super cute sign that has a Thanksgiving saying on the front. I grabbed it at Kohls for 40% off plus a coupon and paid just $1 – then painted over the back with a little extra tan paint from my walls. Now I can flip my sign over during the year get double use out of my piece of wood.

The next one I want to try out is placing this “Be your own kind of Beautiful” on my little girls mirror – what a perfect thought to be thinking every morning while getting ready for the day!

So remember I have never done Vinyl Lettering before – so I had an interesting experience. First of all – I took off the wrong side of the backing – even though the directions clearly stated which one to remove – so I ended up picking off each letter individually on the “A Witch and her little Monsters live here” sign – RRRR…. But I can honestly say the quality of Vinyl from Wall Graffiti is AWESOME – I handled letters and moved them around several times to get the right placement since I was doing them individually – and nothing tore at all and still stuck to my glass perfectly.

On my second attempt – I did a better job at following the directions and it was a breeze to get through. So if you are like me and have never done Vinyl Lettering before, here’s the proper way to apply to your surface:

Step 1 – Rub with a credit card – rub the back side of the letters – you want to transfer it to the clear tape.

Step 2 – Peel off the backing – leaving your letters on the clear tape – I used a credit card to help it let go of the white backing and keeping it stuck well to the clear tape.

Step 3 – Place it on the clean dry surface and rub it well with your credit card – then peel off your clear tape. Super easy!

You can order lots of unique Vinyl Lettering over on the Wall Graffiti Etsy Shop – but you will want to check out her BLOG for some super cute ideas or if you want to host a party.
