Mall of America LogoSummer is here and it’s time for vacation season.  If you don’t already have your summer vacation planned I have a GREAT idea for you.  I was lucky enough to visit a lot of different places on our recent Epic RV Blogger Tour.  We had so much fun and saw some fantastic areas of the country.  Our VERY Favorite stop on our tour was Mall of America!

When we got our itinerary for the tour, Mall of America was on the list.  I had heard of Mall of America, but I had never really looked into it.  I didn’t know anything about it at all.  We had an entire day scheduled and I wasn’t sure how we were going to spend all that time at a Mall.  Or frankly, why we would even want to.

So what is Mall of America?

Boy oh Boy!!!  This is NO ORDINARY MALL!!  One day?  I am sure we could have easily spent a week there!  Amazing!

Mall of America Top of the Ferris Wheel

The first thing I have to mention is Nickelodeon Universe!!  We spent HOURS here.  We had so much fun riding the rides.  This is the largest indoor theme park in the United States.  It has tons of trees and so many fun attractions.  I kept forgetting that we were in a mall.  We could have easily spent an entire day riding rides and playing here.

Mall of America RidesMy girls loved the smaller rides and of course my husband loved the BIG roller coasters!  I even tried the Backyardiagans Sing-A-Long!  They are putting in a zip line this year and they have some really cool and crazy rides.  I LOVED the Log Chute.  We got Soaked!!  This is a top of the line amusement park!

The thing that I love the most about Mall of America is it’s family friendly atmosphere.  They have made it a family destination for sure.

Mall of America CollageWe were lucky enough to check out their newest attraction.  The Barbie Dreamhouse Experience!  My girls were in HEAVEN!  If you get a chance to go, I HIGHLY recommend it.

After The Dreamhouse we went to my favorite exhibit.  The Sea Life Minnesota Aquarium.  It was truly an amazing experience.  I loved walking through the tunnels in the aquarium and being “thisclose” to sharks.

Mall of America SharkAfter a crazy long trip and a super busy day.  I could have just stared at the jellyfish for hours.

Of course my girls loved it too.

Mall of America AquariumMy hubby’s favorite part was getting to check out Paradise Pen Company.  He is addicted to Pens!  And this was truly his paradise.

Mall of America Jason and PenWe really wish we would have had more time at Mall of America.  There was still so much to do.  We barely scratched the surface.  We didn’t get to do much shopping at all!  But our favorite stores were LEGO Land, American Girl, and of course Paradise Pen.

We can’t wait to go back.  Minnesota was beautiful and the people couldn’t have been nicer.  We were told of all the amazing things there are to do in the area around the Mall (I’ll save that for a later post) and we also found out that they are expanding to include a waterpark!!

Make sure to add Mall of America to your bucket list!  Take your family!  You won’t regret it!  My kids didn’t want to leave!

You can find out so much more about the Mall of America on their website.  Make sure to follow them on FacebookTwitter and Instagram

They even use the hashtag  to share details on the best places to park each day.  Just don’t take 16 RV’s and you shouldn’t have a problem finding a place to park!  Ha!
