Have you heard of Paribus yet? I recently signed up to see how it works, so I could let you guys know if it’s worth signing up or not. We work hard here to find you the lowest prices available, but sometimes the prices drop even lower after we post a deal. Many companies will refund you the difference, but you have to be active about contacting them and following up so you can get your money back. If you’re like me, often you don’t have the time to make the effort, or it’s just a dollar or two, so it doesn’t seem like a big enough deal to worry about it. But those small price drops can add up to a lot of money over time! That’s where Paribus comes in.
Here’s an example. I recently purchased a bunch of Disney Infinity Characters from BestBuy because they were crazy low prices. A couple of days later, several of the characters’ prices dropped even lower, by another $1. Normally, I wouldn’t have bothered contacting BestBuy about it, but Paribus did it all for me and I’ve got $8 back! Now that’s just one example, from one store. Imagine that happening with all my purchases!
When you sign up with Paribus, you connect it with your email so it can scan it for your receipts. You can also connect specifically with other retailers, such as Amazon. Paribus then monitors the prices of what you’ve purchased, and if the price drops they contact the merchant on your behalf to get you your refund. They keep up to 25% of what they get back for you (that’s how they make money off of the service). That fee is totally worth it to me, so I don’t have to spend time checking prices and then contacting the seller. If they aren’t successful in getting you your money back, then they don’t get paid either. So you’re really not out anything. Pretty sweet deal, if you ask me!
