As a Utah native it is almost a requirement that I take my family to Southern California for a family vacation. And why not? It is close enough to drive, it’s warm, and beautiful. And of course there is the beach. Not to mention all the many sites and attractions.
This may surprise you, but I’ve never taken my kids to any parks in Southern California. We went last year to So Cal for the first time (in January) but we mostly just stayed near the beach and relaxed and slept. 😉 We decided that this year we would hit some of the parks and see what they all have to offer.
When traveling to Southern California, we ALWAYS recommend booking with Get Away Today! They have some of the VERY BEST deals out there and you can even get a discount if you tell give them our exclusive code UTSweetS14, you can save an extra $10 off your vacation package of at least a two night hotel stay and tickets.
I’ll be posting about our trip on Instagram (so make sure you are following along with me there). Here are just some of the highlights we have planned.
Ken Garff Fiat of Salt Lake is giving us one of these cute little Fiats to drive to California. This is going to be a fun change for us and will require us to pack lighter than we are used to for sure. We usually travel in our mini van with just the four of us. I can’t wait to share this fun little zippy car with you and see how we do traveling in it.
Keep an eye on our Instagram. We just might have a fun way for you to earn some gas money of your own from Ken Garff Fiat of Salt Lake too.
Of course we have to visit Disneyland Resort while we are in Southern California. We will be there for one day this trip. This will be our first time and we are so excited! Thanks to everyone in our Facebook Group who has given us tips on what to see while we are there.
We of course are heading to San Diego while in Southern California. I’m so excited to spend a day at Sea World. I’ve never been and I know my girls will love it too. Plus! They are running a killer deal right now! Pay for one day and get the rest of 2015 for Free!!! Are you kidding me, how cool is that?
My kids are so excited to visit “The Giant Zoo.” Can you say PANDAS!!!! I’m giddy. I’ve always had a weird little thing for pandas. San Diego Zoo is a MUST SEE while we are in Southern California.
Who has been to Legoland? It looks like so much fun, so we added it to our trip as well. What do we need to see and who while at Legoland?
For all of you Southern California vets. What should we be sure not to miss while visiting all these parks this trip?
