There are two FREE financial events in Cache Valley that will help you make good financial decisions in 2016!
The first event is a Financial Wellness Boot Camp. It starts on January 22 and will consist of 8 classes through April 8.
(Jan 22) Super Saving
(Jan 29) Relating with Money
(Feb 5) Cash Flow Planning
(Feb 12) Dumping Debt
(Mar 4) Buyer Beware!
(Mar 25) The Role of Insurance
(Apr 1) Retirement and College Planning; Real Estate and Mortgages
(Apr 8) The Great Misunderstanding
Held at the Cache Chamber of Commerce, each class will last for about 1 hour from 6 pm – 7 pm. They’ll also giveaway prizes such as $100 in groceries, $50 gift cards to Walmart and Lowe’s, and more. In fact, they’re already giving out prizes! Head over to their Facebook Event to find out how you can qualify to win and RSVP for the event!
The other event you’ll want to attend if you have, or are planning to start, a home-based business. Tax Strategies for Home-based Business Owners will be held on January 21 and 28 and February 4 from 12 pm – 1 pm. Choose one pot-luck luncheon to attend, they’ll all go over the same material. Location to be determined. RSVP here.
Not free, but there is also a Financial Peace University that will be taught for $93 starting on February 11 and will be held weekly at 6:30 pm for 9 weeks. I believe the class to be money well spent. Financial Peace would also make a wonderful wedding gift to help a couple start their marriage with goals to eliminate debt, save, and give.
