I love football. I have as long as I can remember! Growing up in a small town of less than 1000 people, there whole town turned out for the high school Friday night football games. The sport really unified our little community. When I graduated from high school and moved to Logan to go to school at Utah State University, I attended nearly every home football game, and in fact my husband and I had our first date cheering on the Aggies at the Merlin Olsen Stadium (now Maverik Stadium). We’ve continued the tradition of going to fall football games with our family now, too. Being an outdoor stadium in the mountains, it can get mighty chilly in the evenings. We’ve sat through games in the wind, rain, and snow. We’re pros at layering so we can stay warm while we do the Scotsman with our fellow Aggie fans.
