I’m so excited that Get Away Today is now offering MaxPass as an option on their Disneyland tickets! When I’m at Disneyland, MaxPass is a must for me because I can get on more rides without running across the park to get Fastpasses and it includes Disney PhotoPass.

Why would you want MaxPass:

  • With MaxPass you can get FastPasses right from your phone! These include the following rides and attractions:
    • At Disneyland:
      • Fantasmic!
      • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
      • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
      • Haunted Mansion
      • Haunted Mansion Holiday
      • Indiana Jones Adventure
      • “It’s a Small World”
      • Matterhorn Bobsleds
      • Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
      • Space Mountain
      • Splash Mountain
      • Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
    •  At Disney California Adventure:
      • World of Color
      • Goofy’s Sky School
      • Grizzly River Run
      • Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
      • Incredicoaster
      • Radiator Springs Racers
      • Soarin’ Around the World
      • Toy Story Midway Mania!
  • You’ll also get PhotoPass included at no additional cost including the following:
    • All Attraction Photos
      • Space Mountain
      • Splash Mountain
      • Radiator Springs Racers
      • Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
      • Incredicoaster
    • Character Dining Photos
      • Disney’s PCH Grill at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel
      • Goofy’s Kitchen at The Disneyland Hotel
      • Plaza Inn in Disneyland Park
    • Photos taken by a PhotoPass photographer including Magic Shots and Animated Magic Shots
  • MaxPass is available on all of Get Away Today’s 2 – 5 day Park Hopper and 1-Park per Day Disneyland tickets, including their Extra Day Free tickets!
  • While the cost for MaxPass is the same as if you were purchasing at the park ($15 per day), you’ll have the convenience of having it already tied to your tickets because you won’t need to add it to your ticket manually once you’re in the park, saving you time. Additionally, you’ll save money on Get Away Today’s Disneyland tickets upfront with their awesome discounted rates.
  • Although MaxPass does add $15 to your park ticket per day, I actually think it’s still worth it if you’re frugal minded because they help you get the most out of your ticket by riding more rides.

It might not be for everyone, however, so Get Away Today still has their low priced tickets available without MaxPass, too.

Why would you NOT want MaxPass:

  • First of all, even if you don’t want MaxPass for your entire party, I still recommend getting it on at least one ticket in your party just for the use of the PhotoPass features mentioned above.
  • If you don’t plan on going on a lot of the FastPass rides mentioned above because your children don’t meet their ride height requirements (found here) or you just don’t plan on riding those rides, you may want to forego MaxPass.
  • When booking with Get Away Today, you don’t have the option of only having MaxPass for certain days of your tickets. Perhaps you want to use it one day to ride the FastPass rides, but for other days you play on doing other attractions that don’t require FastPass. In that case, you’d want to purchase Get Away’s Today’s discounted tickets without MaxPass, and add MaxPass for the day(s) you want it once you enter the park that day.
  • While I think paying an extra $15/day for MaxPass is worth it because it means you get to ride more rides and helps you get the most out of your Disneyland ticket, if you’re on a very strict budget, you may not want to add it.
  • If crowd levels are very low, you may not need MaxPass because you can easily walk on rides. However, with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening on May 31, crowd levels at Disneyland aren’t likely to be low.
  • If the members of your party are all over age 7, they can ride all the rides alone. You may want to take advantage of single rider lines instead of paying for MaxPass.

Don’t forget, Disney has announced that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be opening on May 31! Through June 23, 2019, you’ll need to make special reservations in order to get into this new land. More details will be released on May 2nd at 8 am PT on disneyland.com and Disney Parks Blog. At 10 a.m. PT on that same day (May 2nd), reservations for the new land will open. As a reminder, guests who are staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels are guaranteed a reservation (one per registered guest) to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. I’ve checked, and Get Away Today DOES still have nights available on all of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, and you can call 1-855-GET-AWAY (don’t forget to mention you’re a Utah Sweet Savings reader for an extra $10 off your vacation package) or make your reservation HERE. If you’ve thought you might like to stay there some time, now would be a great opportunity so you can get those coveted Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservations! For more information, feel free to click here for additional details regarding reservations for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Plus, you can use code UtahSweet10 to get an extra $10 off your vacation package!

If you’re planning a trip any time for the rest of the year, make sure to take advantage of their Extra Day Free special, which includes a MaxPass option! Don’t forget to use code UtahSweet10 to get an extra $10 off your vacation package!

If you’re traveling between now and May 23, Get Away Today has an AWESOME spring special and you can save up to $111 per ticket! You can also combine these deeply discounted tickets with code UtahSweet10 to get an extra $10 off your vacation package, however, you cannot add MaxPass with these tickets until you’ve gone through the park gates each day.

We love working with Get Away Today! They’re a leading provider of Disney vacations and have helped more than 2 million people enjoy vacations to Disneyland since 1990! They’ll help you with every step of your vacation from beginning to end. I highly recommend them!
