Have you entered our giveaway for a NuMe Hair Styling Tool tool yet? It ends on Monday, February 15, so you still have a couple more days. But also ending tomorrow, February 14, is two SUPER HOT deals:
I highly recommend the Lustrum Set. It is basically 5 tools in one, so at $89.50 (the price with code VDAY50, good through February 14), that’s basically only $17.50 for each tool, an incredible value. The set includes five different, interchangeable, 100% tourmaline-infused ceramic coated barrels. The various tools help you create tight, medium-width, or loose, tumbling curls. The set come packaged in a cute container (as do all their sets; see the Classic Wand in the back of the above image with the blue top), and also comes with a very nice kit to store everything in. A heat-resistant glove is included, a necessity since these tools get VERY hot.
To insert the tool into the base, line up the prongs and then twist it into a lock position. Plug it in and flip the switch to on, and it only takes about 1-2 minutes to heat up completely. I noticed it seemed to take a bit longer for the Lustrum Setto get up to temperature than my Classic Wand, which takes no more than 60 seconds. But it’s still pretty fast.
So far I’ve tested 3 tools from the Lustrum Styling Set. I used the 32MM Wand on my hair. My Classic Wand is a 25MM, and I wanted looser curls than that. The 32MM option was perfect. After running my fingers through the ringlets it created, I achieved just the look I was going for. And it was fast, too! I only had to hold each curl in place for about 3-5 seconds, then I’d let it slide off the wand into my hand with the heat resistant glove, hold it there for another couple of seconds for it to set, and then move on to the next curl. It probably took about 10 minutes or less from the time I walked in the bathroom till the time I walked out. It’s a great easy hair style, and the tool is very easy to use. I’ve only been using a wand for a couple of weeks, but they’re not nearly intimidating as I suspected they were. I doubt I’ll ever use a curling iron again.
My 9-year-old LOVES her waist-long hair, but it isn’t much fun to curl. As a dancer, though, her teacher often instructs us to do curly hair for performances. It’s grown to long for standard Curlformers, and a regular curling iron is also difficult to use because of the length. This morning we tried the Pearl tool for her hair. I grabbed a very small piece of hair first. When it came out we both said, “Whoa.” It was a super tight ringlet! I used a bigger section of hair for the rest, and they turned out great. Sometimes I’d get to the end of the wand and I’d still have several inches of hair left. I’d gently shake the hair loose that was wrapped around the wand and then finish the curl where I’d left off. The Pearl wand was perfect for this. She has a slight wave to her hair, and I suspect it will last at least another day. She did mention that her back got hot from the heat of the curls, however; so in the future I’ll probably wrap a towel or hair cutting cape around her to keep her from getting uncomfortable.
For my other daughter, I thought it would be fun to try the Reverse Wand. It created SUPER boingy curls and I curled her entire head of hair in probably 5 minutes. After running my fingers through her hair to separate the curls, I pulled back a few strands from the side into a mini messy bun to top off the look. Beautiful! I love it so much!
Make sure you get the Lustrumbefore the code VDAY expires tomorrow so you can get it for just $89.50! The code can be used on just about any hair tool on the site. And don’t forget to enter the giveaway for a FREE NuMe Hair Tool, too!
